Job Description

We are a fast-growing business that has the most preferred and experienced Auto Glass professionals on the Kenai Peninsula. We have expanded into ADAS recalibrations and are accepting applications for an auto glass technician to repair customers' vehicles. The auto glass technician's responsibilities include notifying customers of various issues that may affect glass installation, removing damaged glass without causing further damage to customers' vehicles, completing all necessary paperwork, and other shop duties as assigned. Applicant should also be able to inspect windshields and windows to determine whether the glass should be repaired or replaced. Applicant should demonstrate sound mechanical skills and adhere to all health and safety regulations and be able to effectively communicate with customers while providing excellent customer service at all times. Knowledge of good halibut and salmon fishing spots are a plus!
Auto Glass Technician Responsibilities:
Assess, as well as repair or replace, customers' windshields and windows. Removing moldings, wipers, screws, bolts, and clips before glass installation and repairs and replacing them thereafter. Repairing rock chips. Identifying issues that may affect glass installation, such as rust or vehicle damage. Removing all dirt and debris from windshields and windows before beginning repair. Using clips, moldings, and adhesives to affix custom-cut glass to customers' vehicles. Leave customer vehicles clean and free of any glass or debris. Available to work 8:30am to 5:30 pm on weekdays, overtime for out-of-town travel, and some weekends, if needed. Provide excellent customer service at all times. Other shop duties as assigned.
Auto Glass Technician Requirements:
High school diploma or GED. Clean driving record from DMV Good employer references Strong mechanical skills. Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination. Effective communication skills with the ability to take direction. Exceptional customer service skills. Detail-oriented.
Pay:
$23.00 - $25.00 per hour
