Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Mechanic to join our dynamic transportatio facility team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of vehicles to ensure optimal operational efficiency. Your expertise will help prevent downtime, improve safety standards, and support continuous production processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about technical problem-solving and industrial maintenance to make a tangible impact in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on manufacturing equipment, including hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems. Troubleshoot complex machinery issues using schematics, electrical blueprints, and diagnostic tools such as ammeters and ohmmeters. Conduct electrical diagnostics and repair high-voltage systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards. Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to document work orders, track maintenance history, and schedule future tasks. Operate precision measuring instruments and welding equipment ( welding) to execute repairs accurately. Diagnose issues with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), HVAC/R systems, scissor lifts, and other industrial machinery. Collaborate with engineering teams to analyze equipment performance data and implement continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain detailed schematics and technical documentation to support troubleshooting efforts. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with internal teams and external vendors regarding repairs and maintenance needs. Requirements Proven experience working in a manufacturing facility environment with a strong background in industrial mechanics and maintenance. Knowledge of electrical systems, electrical troubleshooting, electrical blueprint reading, and electrical maintenance practices. Hands-on experience with HVAC/R systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, high voltage systems, and welding techniques. Familiarity with CMMS software for work order management and maintenance tracking. Ability to read schematics, technical drawings, and engineering troubleshooting documents accurately. Experience operating precision measuring instruments such as ammeters and ohmmeters for diagnostics. Strong analysis skills combined with excellent problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot equipment issues efficiently. Effective communication skills in English to collaborate across teams seamlessly. Industrial electrician experience or equivalent certifications preferred but not mandatory. Valid certification or experience operating scissor lifts or other industrial equipment is advantageous. Pay:
$24.59 - $29.61 per hour
