G E N ER A L JOB S UMMA R Y

The Mechanic III is a full-time position, as a senior level mechanic this person is responsible for the maintenance and repairs of construction equipment and fleet vehicles .

CORE AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

Maintenance and repairs of construction equipment and fleet vehicles Training and Mentoring EPA Compliance

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Must have working knowledge of construction equipment operations and mechanical functions Must be dependable, reliable and competent to handle equipment safely. Ability to interface with all levels of personnel within the company. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and QuickBooks Software Communication between customers, shop Foreman, and general manager. Must have proven proficiency in M.I.G and stick welding. Experience in operation of an oxy-acetylene torch. Forklift operation skills. (forklift cert will be provided) Experience in operating equipment. Must have pneumatic air brake system knowledge. Must be able to read hydraulic and electrical schematics. Knowledge of electrical systems diagnostics. Knowledge of hydraulic cylinder rebuild. Able to multi-task while working independently; methodical and detail-oriented Valid Driver's License; will travel 10% of the time to run parts/pick-up parts

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE A

high school diploma or equivalent is required, Three (3) years of general maintenance experience required Or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position, Possession of a valid Class C driver's license, and Valid Forklift operation license.
