Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Trailer Mechanic. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of trailers and heavy-duty equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. Your expertise will help keep our fleet running smoothly, minimizing downtime and enhancing operational efficiency. This position offers an exciting opportunity for mechanics with a passion for heavy equipment, automotive systems, and a commitment to quality workmanship. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive inspections and diagnostics on trailers, including air brake systems, suspensions, axles, and electrical components. Repair and replace mechanical systems such as transmissions, hydraulics, shocks & struts, and wheel alignments. Conduct welding, fabrication, and assembly work to repair or modify trailer structures and components. Use schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex issues with heavy equipment, farm machinery, or industrial equipment. Maintain detailed service records and documentation of repairs performed on trailers and related equipment. Operate heavy machinery such as forklifts, excavators, cranes, or other industrial equipment safely during maintenance tasks. Perform tire service, brake repairs, suspension adjustments, and vehicle maintenance to ensure safety compliance. Skills Proven experience in dealership or heavy equipment repair environments with strong mechanical knowledge. Proficiency in automotive diagnostics, electrical system repair, and the use of hand tools and power tools. Familiarity with schematics for vehicle systems including air brakes, hydraulics, HVAC systems, and transmissions. Ability to operate heavy equipment such as excavators, forklifts, cranes, or tractor-trailers confidently. Knowledge of diesel engine repair, suspension systems, shocks & struts, and tire service techniques. Skilled in welding (including soldering) and fabrication for structural repairs or modifications. Pay:
