Job Overview:
AMERI-CANS
is seeking a skilled and reliable Field Service lead with a CDL License to join our team in the Thomson, Georgia region. Under the direct supervision of the Branch Operations Manager, the Field Service Lead plays a central role in coordinating, executing, and upholding high-quality field operations. This position supports the daily supervision of maintenance activities, ensures safety compliance, manages field execution, and leads by example to deliver exceptional, reliable service to our clients The Field Service Lead is responsible for maintaining operational readiness, training team members, and ensuring that all field work including service, maintenance, site surveys, trailer installations, and emergency responses are executed to

standards. This role requires a proactive, hands-on professional who can solve problems quickly, communicate with authority, and drive consistent, high-performance results. Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Job Duties): Common activities listed below; actual position responsibilities may vary. Provide daily supervision and quality control of maintenance operations, ensuring safe, accurate, and timely execution. Coordinate closely with the Inventory Specialist and Maintenance Manager to manage supplies, equipment readiness, and operational planning. Lead on-site supervision and provide hands-on support to field technicians, resolving issues and ensuring successful job completion. Operate, drive, troubleshoot, and maintain all service trucks and equipment; serve as the "jump-and-go" responder for urgent field needs. Execute service work, pickups, deliveries, site surveys, trailer system installs and troubleshooting calls while communicating professionally with site contacts. Ensure strict adherence to all safety protocols, operational standards, and equipment handling requirements. Maintain cleanliness, organization, and security of the yard, shop, tools, and service areas. Coordinate field activities with other team leads and crews to ensure seamless execution across operations. Train, mentor, and develop team members in procedures, equipment operation, and quality control standards. Ensure the branch's service commitments are met by monitoring performance, reporting field updates, and executing all required tasks independently and professionally. Facilitate communication from Customers to internal administrative staff ensuring new requests and calls for service are accurately transcribed and proper parties are notified.
Essential Functions:
Maintain effective communication with management, clients, and team members. Demonstrate thorough knowledge of company policies, procedures, and service standards. Ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operations at all times. Lead by example, promoting teamwork, accountability, and pride in performance. Uphold and enforce safety protocols and proper equipment handling procedures.
Education and Experience:
Any combination of education and experience demonstrating the required skills and knowledge for successful performance. Previous field service, maintenance, or logistics experience strongly preferred. Leadership or team supervision experience is highly desirable. Experience with portable sanitation, equipment operation, or construction services is a plus.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES
Ability to obtain and maintain all required certifications, licenses, and registrations for the position, including: CDL License DOT Health Certification Valid Driver's License Must maintain a clean DMV record.
Skills Required:
Strong leadership, communication, and Field coordination skills. Proficiency in operating, driving, and maintaining service trucks and field equipment. Excellent problem-solving abilities and sound judgment in dynamic, fast-paced environments. Ability to train, mentor, and develop team members to meet quality and performance expectations. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, projects, and priorities. Comfortable communicating with clients, supervisors, and cross-functional partners. Familiarity with maintenance workflows, job tracking, and field documentation preferred.
Abilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to carry out each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed represent the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for the position. This role requires the ability to sit or stand for extended periods; use hands and fingers; and stoop, crawl, bend, twist, reach, and crouch as needed. The individual must be able to perform essential duties with minimal supervision and be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and dragging up to 185 lbs.
