Job Description

Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and efficient Internal / Used Vehicle Technician to inspect, diagnose, and repair our pre-owned inventory and internal dealership vehicles. In this role, you won't have to deal with the back-and-forth of retail customer authorization—you'll work directly with our Used Car Manager to efficiently turn trade-ins and auction purchases into frontline-ready vehicles. If you love diagnosing a variety of makes and models, maintaining a steady flat-rate output, and working without customer interruption, this is the job for you!
Key Responsibilities Comprehensive Inspections:
Perform thorough Multi-Point Inspections (MPI) and safety checks on all incoming pre-owned inventory.
Diagnostics & Repair:
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, brake, suspension, and engine issues across various vehicle makes and models.
Routine Maintenance:
Complete required fluid flushes, oil changes, tire replacements, alignments, and reconditioning service requests.
Safety & Compliance:
Ensure all reconditioned vehicles meet state safety inspection standards and dealership quality guidelines.
Efficiency & Communication:
Provide clear, accurate parts and labor estimates to the Used Car Manager to keep vehicle reconditioning timelines on track.
Shop Maintenance:
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workstation.
Qualifications & Skills Experience:
Preferred [1-3] years of professional automotive repair experience (Dealership or Independent Shop preferred).
Tools:
Must possess a personal set of working tools.
Technical Knowledge:
Strong understanding of automotive systems across multiple domestic and import manufacturers.
Certifications:
ASE Certifications (or willing to obtain).
Driver's License:
Valid driver's license with a clean, insurable driving record.
Work Ethic:
High attention to detail, efficient time management, and a safety-first mindset.
