Position Summary Total Trailer is seeking a dependable and skilled Trailer/RV Technician to inspect, diagnose, maintain, and repair a variety of trailers and recreational vehicles. This position is ideal for someone who is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and committed to completing quality work safely and efficiently. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Inspect trailers and RVs to identify mechanical, electrical, plumbing, structural, and cosmetic concerns. Diagnose and repair trailer brake, bearing, axle, suspension, lighting, and wiring systems. Perform routine maintenance, including wheel-bearing service, brake adjustments, safety inspections, and preventative maintenance. Troubleshoot and repair RV electrical, plumbing, appliance, and propane systems. Install trailer accessories, hitches, brake controllers, wiring components, and related equipment. Repair trailer flooring, doors, roofs, siding, trim, seals, and other structural components. Test completed repairs to confirm safe and proper operation. Document inspections, diagnoses, repairs, parts used, and labor performed. Communicate repair needs and findings clearly to service staff. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Use tools, equipment, and materials according to company and manufacturer safety procedures. Complete additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous experience in trailer, RV, automotive, diesel, equipment, or general mechanical repair is preferred. Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. Ability to read wiring diagrams, service manuals, and manufacturer instructions. Experience using hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and shop machinery. Basic welding or fabrication experience is preferred. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Dependable attendance and effective time-management skills. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Ability to safely operate and move trailers of various sizes. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly and heavier items with assistance. Ability to stand, bend, kneel, crouch, climb, and work in confined spaces for extended periods. Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures and weather conditions. Ability to safely use ladders, tools, machinery, and personal protective equipment.
Pay:
$18.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
