About Us We're a high-end custom automotive shop specializing in complete builds — from our proprietary chassis installs to fully modernized classics with updated drivetrains. We don't do bolt-ons or quick jobs; every project is a from-the-ground-up, show-quality build. This position is focused on the fabrication and metalwork involved in our ground-up classic and modified vehicle builds. The role includes sheet metal fabrication and modification, chassis installations, mini tubs, and custom stainless-steel exhaust and header fabrication . We are looking for an experienced automotive fabricator who is comfortable working with classic vehicles, solving fitment challenges, and fabricating one-off components and systems to a high standard. Key Responsibilities Perform automotive sheet metal fabrication, repair, and modification Install Schwartz Performance chassis systems into classic vehicles, including vehicle preparation, fitment, modification, and related fabrication Perform mini-tub installations and associated floor, wheelhouse, and sheet metal modifications Fabricate and modify floor pans, transmission tunnels, firewalls, wheel tubs, inner structures, and other sheet metal components Fabricate custom brackets, mounts, panels, tabs, and one-off components Fabricate custom stainless-steel exhaust systems and headers Cut, fit, TIG weld, and finish stainless tubing for clean, high-quality exhaust installations Perform TIG and MIG welding on automotive sheet metal, mild steel, and stainless steel Fit and modify body panels and fabricated components for proper alignment and finish Fabricate components and make modifications necessary for modern drivetrain, suspension, steering, exhaust, and chassis installations Accurately measure, cut, form, fit, and weld fabricated components Mock up components and systems prior to final welding and installation Identify fabrication and fitment issues and develop clean, functional solutions Perform grinding, finishing, and metal preparation to a high standard Work efficiently while maintaining the craftsmanship expected on high-end vehicle builds Maintain a clean and organized work area Requirements Minimum 5 years of professional experience in automotive fabrication, sheet metal, restoration, hot rod building, or a closely related field Strong automotive sheet metal fabrication and metalworking skills Proficient in TIG and MIG welding Experience fabricating and TIG welding stainless-steel exhaust systems and/or headers Experience with chassis installation, structural vehicle modifications, or similar automotive fabrication Experience with mini tubs, floor modifications, transmission tunnels, and related sheet metal work Ability to accurately measure, cut, form, fit, and weld one-off components Experience with metal shaping, panel fabrication, and custom fitment Strong understanding of vehicle construction and mechanical systems Ability to fabricate solutions rather than relying solely on pre-made components Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently, efficiently, and meet project timelines Excellent attention to detail and pride in high-quality craftsmanship Experience with classic cars, restorations, Restomods, hot rods, or Pro Touring vehicles strongly preferred
