AUTOMOTIVE WATER LEAK & RESTORATION TECHNICIAN

Learn a Specialized Trade. Build a Career. Water Doctors of St. Louis is looking for a dependable, mechanically inclined person to join our team as an Automotive Water Leak & Restoration Technician. We specialize in diagnosing and repairing difficult automotive water leaks, wind noise concerns, and water-damaged vehicle interiors, including mold remediation. This is not a typical automotive technician position. It is an opportunity to learn a highly specialized trade and build a long-term career in an area of automotive repair that very few technicians are trained to perform. Character matters more to us than experience. We can teach the technical side of the job. We are looking for someone who is dependable, takes pride in their work, uses good judgment, pays attention to detail, and genuinely wants to learn. What You'll Do Diagnose and repair automotive water leaks Diagnose and correct wind noise concerns Remove and reinstall vehicle interior components as necessary Perform interior drying and restoration procedures Assist with automotive mold remediation Perform detailed inspections and testing to verify repairs Document completed work accurately Work primarily at automotive dealerships throughout the Greater St. Louis area Learn specialized diagnostic and repair techniques through hands-on training What We're Looking For Dependable and punctual Strong mechanical aptitude Good problem-solving skills Attention to detail Ability to work independently after training Professional appearance and attitude Willingness to learn and follow established repair procedures Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to safely lift and handle automotive interior components and equipment Automotive experience is helpful, but direct water leak experience is NOT required. We are more interested in finding the right person with the right attitude and work ethic than someone who already knows this specialized trade. Pay $20.00-$26.00 per hour, based on experience and ability. In addition to hourly pay, this position offers the opportunity to earn a monthly production and quality bonus. Schedule Full-time, Monday through Friday. This is a mobile position serving automotive dealerships throughout the Greater St. Louis area. During training, employees will meet each morning at a designated commuter location in the Troy, Illinois area before traveling to dealership job sites.
