Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Automotive Technician to join our dynamic service team. In this role, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of vehicle systems to ensure optimal performance, safety, and customer satisfaction. Your expertise will help keep vehicles running smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the overall success of our dealership. This position offers an exciting opportunity for experienced mechanics passionate about automotive repair and eager to work with the latest technology and tools. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues across various vehicle systems. Repair and maintain powertrain components, including engines, transmissions, and drive axles, ensuring all repairs meet manufacturer standards. Conduct vehicle suspension system repairs and alignments to optimize handling and safety. Interpret automotive wiring diagrams accurately for electrical system troubleshooting and repairs. Service and repair advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) to enhance vehicle safety features. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical tools efficiently during repairs. Communicate clearly with customers about repair needs, estimated timelines, and maintenance recommendations to ensure excellent customer service. Requirements Proven experience or service technician experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and repair. Solid mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, suspension, and powertrain components. Familiarity with automotive wiring diagram interpretation and automotive electrical systems troubleshooting. Hands-on experience with automotive diagnostic tools and software for accurate fault detection. Ability to perform vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake repairs, wheel alignments, and transmission system repairs. Knowledge of diesel engine repair is preferred but not mandatory. Strong customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to clients. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical devices safely and effectively. Valid mechanic license or certification as required by local regulations is a plus; ongoing training in new technologies is encouraged. We do a 90 day probationary hire. During this time we will monitor or assist on your accounts to ensure accuracy and efficentcy.
