Job Description
Job Overview Warner Bodies manufactures high-quality truck bodies and specialty vehicle solutions. Our team combines manufacturing, engineering, electrical integration, and craftsmanship to build dependable products designed for demanding applications. Warner Bodies is seeking an experienced Automotive Electrical & Controls Integration Technician to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for the electrical and controls integration of Warner Bodies products with various truck chassis and vehicle platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in automotive electrical systems, chassis/body integration, wiring, electrical troubleshooting, and vehicle control systems . This individual should be comfortable working with chassis electrical systems and integrating body-mounted equipment and controls to ensure all components operate safely and correctly with the vehicle.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform electrical integration of manufactured bodies and equipment with truck chassis.
Interface body electrical systems with OEM chassis electrical systems.
Install and troubleshoot wiring harnesses, switches, relays, fuses, control modules, sensors, lighting, and other electrical components.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, chassis diagrams, and technical documentation.
Diagnose electrical and control-related problems using appropriate testing and diagnostic equipment.
Perform electrical testing using multimeters and other diagnostic tools.
Verify proper operation of lighting, accessories, safety equipment, controls, and body-mounted systems.
Perform basic body assembly by installing doors, tailgates, shelves, etc.
Complete work according to Warner Bodies' safety, quality, and production standards.
Qualifications Required:
Previous automotive, truck, specialty vehicle, or equipment electrical experience .
Experience integrating electrical equipment or manufactured bodies with vehicle chassis.
Strong understanding of 12V automotive electrical systems .
Experience with electrical controls and vehicle control systems.
Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
Experience diagnosing electrical problems and determining root causes.
Knowledge of relays, switches, fuses, circuit protection, connectors, sensors, wiring harnesses, and control modules.
Ability to use a multimeter and other electrical diagnostic equipment.
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work independently as well as with Engineering and Production teams.
Preferred Experience:
Experience with commercial trucks, work trucks, service bodies, emergency vehicles, utility vehicles, RV's, or specialty vehicle manufacturing .
Experience with OEM chassis electrical integration.
Knowledge of CAN bus/J1939 vehicle communication systems .
Experience with programmable controllers, multiplexed electrical systems, or similar vehicle control systems.
Experience modifying or building automotive wiring harnesses.
Experience troubleshooting chassis/body interface and communication issues.
Familiarity with Ford, GM, Ram, Freightliner, International, or similar commercial chassis is a plus.

The successful candidate should be able to understand how the chassis, body, electrical components, and controls work together as one complete vehicle system . This position is ideal for an experienced automotive electrician, vehicle electrical technician, controls technician, or specialty vehicle technician who enjoys troubleshooting and solving complex electrical integration challenges.
Pay:
$20.00 - $24.00 per hour
