Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Fleet Service Manager to lead our vehicle and equipment maintenance operations. In this role, you will oversee the servicing, repair, and maintenance of a diverse fleet that includes heavy machinery, trucks, trailers, and industrial equipment. Your expertise will ensure optimal vehicle performance, safety compliance, and operational efficiency. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a proactive leader with extensive mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience in heavy equipment and automotive systems. Duties Manage daily fleet maintenance activities, including scheduling repairs and inspections for trucks, trailers, forklifts, excavators, cranes, and other industrial machinery Supervise a team of technicians and mechanics, providing guidance on diagnostics, repairs, and safety procedures Oversee vehicle diagnostics using schematics and electrical system troubleshooting to identify issues accurately Perform or coordinate repairs on transmissions, hydraulics, suspensions, brakes, air brakes, shocks & struts, and HVAC systems Ensure compliance with safety standards such as OSHA regulations and vehicle inspection protocols Maintain detailed records of maintenance history, service logs, and parts inventory for all fleet assets Coordinate with vendors for parts procurement and service contracts to optimize costs and efficiency Experience Proven dealership experience or extensive background in heavy equipment operation and maintenance Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive electrical systems, transmissions, hydraulics, and diesel engines Hands-on experience with fabrication techniques including welding and equipment assembly Familiarity with schematics for troubleshooting complex mechanical or electrical issues in industrial equipment Demonstrated ability to operate heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors-trailers, farm machinery, and other industrial vehicles Experience in automotive diagnostics and vehicle systems repair for trucks used by professional drivers or fleet operations Knowledge of tire service, suspension alignment, power tools usage, soldering skills and general equipment repair techniques Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with drivers and internal teams about maintenance needs This role is vital in maintaining the safety standards of our fleet while maximizing operational uptime. Pay:
$100,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
