Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Recreational Vehicle (RV) Technician to join our dynamic service team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of RV systems and components to ensure our customers' vehicles are safe, reliable, and ready for adventure. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics on RV electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, batteries, and onboard electronics. Conduct mechanical repairs such as engine troubleshooting, transmission repairs, shocks & struts replacement, brake repairs, and suspension work. Service and repair RV plumbing systems, including water lines, tanks, pumps, and fixtures. Carry out routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire service, adjustments, HVAC system servicing, and vehicle inspections. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to assemble or disassemble components during repairs or upgrades. Diagnose complex automotive electrical issues utilizing automotive diagnostics equipment and specialized RV electrical system diagnostics tools. Repair or replace heavy-duty components such as axles, wheel bearings, shocks & struts, and perform welding or soldering as needed for structural or electrical repairs. Maintain detailed records of all repairs performed and communicate clearly with customers regarding their vehicle's condition and recommended services. Skills Proven dealership experience or extensive service technician background in automotive or RV repair environments. Strong electrical experience with expertise in RV electrical system repair and diagnostics. Mechanical knowledge covering engine repair (including diesel engines), transmission work, brake systems, suspension components, HVAC systems, and vehicle maintenance procedures. Familiarity with plumbing system maintenance and repair within RVs. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, and other mechanical repair tools. Ability to perform basic vehicle troubleshooting efficiently and accurately. Experience with automotive electrical systems diagnosis using specialized diagnostic equipment. Knowledge of auto body repair techniques is a plus. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to clients. Physical ability for heavy lifting and performing repairs in various positions; comfortable working on multiple vehicle types in a busy shop environment.
