Industrial Electrician - Manufacturing & Automation We are seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and automated production equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for a skilled professional with experience in PLC systems, robotics, CNC equipment, machine safety circuits, and industrial electrical maintenance. Key Responsibilities Respond to reactive maintenance calls and complete preventive maintenance assignments using a mobile CMMS device. Troubleshoot industrial communication protocols, including PROFIBUS, PROFINET, Modbus, and Ethernet. Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues on automated manufacturing equipment. Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation. Troubleshoot CNC control systems, conveyors, automation equipment, and mechanical systems. Install, adjust, and troubleshoot light curtains and machine safety circuits. Install and program laser distance sensors. Troubleshoot robotic systems and navigate robot teach pendants. Home robots, edit robot touch points, and save or restore robot programs and system images. Complete electrical preventive maintenance inspections involving wire harnesses, filters, and cable management. Follow electrical safety requirements, Arc Flash regulations, and plant safety procedures. Work safely and efficiently to reduce injuries, equipment damage, and production downtime. Participate in Root Cause Analysis and recommend corrective actions. Provide input during preventive maintenance reviews to improve machine reliability. Train and mentor newly hired electricians. Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors as assigned. Maintain current knowledge of National Electrical Code standards and emerging industrial technology. Work independently while contributing effectively in a team environment. Perform additional duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Minimum of five years of verified industrial electrical experience. Candidates with at least three years of experience may be considered if they demonstrate proficiency in the required technical areas. Strong troubleshooting experience with automated manufacturing equipment. Working knowledge of PLC systems, CNC controls, robotics, industrial sensors, and machine safety systems. Ability to read and troubleshoot from electrical schematics. Understanding of conveyors, automation, mechanical systems, and machine functionality. Knowledge of Arc Flash regulations and safe electrical work practices. Experience working with modern manufacturing equipment. Must meet applicable state requirements. Must provide personal hand tools; specialty tools will be provided. Preferred Qualifications Previous manufacturing experience. Experience with preventive maintenance and CMMS systems. Experience training or mentoring industrial electricians. German and/or Spanish language skills. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, sit, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl as required. Ability to reach, handle tools and controls, and perform detailed electrical work. Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds. Must have the close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception required to work safely around industrial equipment. Work Environment This position works primarily in an industrial production environment that may include machine-shop and limited office exposure. Employees may be exposed to operating machinery, electrical equipment, and moderate-to-high noise levels. Required personal protective equipment must be worn according to safety policies.
