We are currently accepting applications for a Mechanic. All applicants must have a valid commercial driver's license class 'A' with an 'N' endorsement. Mechanic applicants must have their own tools (insured by the Road Commission). Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent, knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems, diesel engines, and the ability to weld, braze, sandblast, and paint equipment. Starting wage for a Mechanic is $32.26. Long-term employees at the Road Commission can expect to retire with a lifetime monthly retirement benefit that could equal approximately 50% of their pre-retirement income.
