Full-Time Fleet Mechanic Are you an experienced mechanic looking for a stable opportunity with a growing, family-owned company? G&N Services is seeking a dedicated, experienced Full-Time Fleet Mechanic to maintain and repair our taxi and vehicle fleet. This position primarily works on sedans, SUVs, and other passenger vehicles used in daily taxi and chauffeur operations. Diesel experience is helpful but not required. Our Family of Companies includes G&N Services, St. Louis County & Yellow Cab, and BEST Transportation. This position is based at our central location. What We Offer Benefits through the Union Paid vacation and sick time Two floating holidays Clean, stable, and well-equipped work environment Monday-Friday schedule between 7:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Competitive pay based on experience Union shop Responsibilities Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using scanning and diagnostic equipment Complete repairs and reprogram vehicle systems as needed Diagnose, service, and repair vehicle air-conditioning systems Perform refrigerant recovery, evacuation, recharging, leak detection, and component replacement in accordance with applicable requirements Complete repairs involving brakes, tires, steering, suspension, transmissions, drive axles, and other vehicle systems Perform scheduled preventive maintenance across the fleet Maintain accurate and complete vehicle maintenance records Assist and support other members of the mechanic team Follow all garage safety policies and procedures Candidate Requirements Three to five years of automotive, fleet, bus, or heavy-duty vehicle repair experience Strong diagnostic and mechanical-repair skills Vehicle A/C diagnostic and repair experience Diesel and bus-repair experience is a plus Formal automotive or mechanical training is preferred Valid state-issued driver's license Ability to provide your own tools Strong verbal, written, and electronic communication skills Ability to successfully complete required background screening and drug testing Physical Requirements Ability to work in a busy, physically demanding garage environment Ability to stand for extended periods Ability to work underneath vehicles and in tight or awkward spaces Ability to lift up to 50 pounds G&N Services, St. Louis County & Yellow Cab, and BEST Transportation are equal opportunity employers.
