K&D Car Care - St. Clair, MO K&D Car Care is looking for an experienced Automotive Service Advisor who knows how to communicate with customers, sell needed repairs, keep technicians productive, and keep the day moving. We're a busy, growing independent repair shop, and we're looking for someone who can step into the advisor role and make an immediate impact. This is not an entry-level position . We want someone who understands the automotive repair business and knows how to turn inspections and technician recommendations into clearly explained, approved work. What You'll Do Greet customers and manage the repair process from drop-off to pickup Write repair orders and accurately document customer concerns Communicate technician findings and inspection results to customers Build estimates and present recommended repairs Follow up with customers and close recommended work Keep customers updated throughout the repair process Coordinate with technicians to keep vehicles moving efficiently Order and coordinate parts when needed Schedule appointments and manage workflow Maintain excellent customer service without being afraid to ask for the sale Help maximize shop productivity, average repair order, and customer retention What We're Looking For You should have previous automotive service advisor experience and be comfortable working in a fast-paced independent repair shop.

The right person will be:

Confident talking with customers Strong at selling legitimate needed repairs without high-pressure tactics Organized and able to manage several repair orders at once Comfortable discussing mechanical repairs and maintenance Able to translate technician language into something customers understand Good on the phone Reliable and motivated Comfortable being measured on performance Focused on both customer satisfaction and shop profitability Able to work closely with technicians instead of creating an "office vs. shop" environment Experience with Tekmetric or similar shop-management software is a plus. Compensation Base Pay + Commission This position is structured to reward performance. If you can communicate well, build customer trust, sell needed work, and help keep the shop productive, you'll have the opportunity to earn more than you would in a flat hourly position.
