Responsibilities Diagnose vehicle issues using automotive diagnostic tools and interpret wiring diagrams to identify faults across various systems, including engine, electrical, suspension, and transmission. Perform repairs on powertrain components, diesel engines, and automotive engine systems with precision, adhering to manufacturer specifications and safety protocols. Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, brake inspections, wheel alignments, and system calibrations to optimize vehicle performance. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and mechanical repair techniques to complete repairs efficiently while maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Interpret schematics and electrical diagrams for complex automotive electrical systems and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) calibrations. Engage in heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely when working on vehicle components or parts. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair procedures clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process. Skills & Qualifications Proven dealership experience or extensive mechanic experience with a strong understanding of automotive repair procedures. Expertise in automotive diagnostics using advanced diagnostic tools for accurate fault detection. Knowledge of automotive electrical systems, wiring diagrams, ADAS calibration, and vehicle system integration. Skilled in engine repair, diesel engine maintenance, powertrain servicing, and general mechanical repair. Familiarity with GM vehicles or similar makes is a plus. Ability to interpret schematics accurately and work efficiently under pressure in a flat-rate environment. Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and alignment procedures. Must provide and maintain your own complete set of professional mechanic tools.
