Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Vehicle and Equipment Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining a wide variety of vehicles and heavy equipment to ensure optimal performance, safety, and reliability. Your expertise will help keep our fleet operational and efficient, supporting our operational goals with precision and professionalism. This position will require local travel to our job sites. Must have your own tools. Having a CDL is a plus. Responsibilities Perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on a diverse fleet of vehicles including trucks, trailers, forklifts, excavators, and other construction equipment. Conduct detailed inspections of mechanical systems such as transmissions, hydraulics, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, air brakes, and electrical systems using schematics and diagnostic tools. Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, forklifts, and other industrial machinery safely and efficiently during maintenance or repair tasks. Troubleshoot automotive electrical systems and perform repairs related to engines (including diesel engines), HVAC systems, power tools, and vehicle systems. Use automotive diagnostics tools to identify issues accurately and execute repairs adhering to safety standards and manufacturer specifications. Maintain detailed service records for all repairs performed; ensure timely equipment maintenance to minimize downtime. Skills Proven experience or extensive background in heavy equipment mechanics with a strong understanding of mechanical systems repair. Proficiency in reading schematics and technical manuals related to automotive electrical systems, hydraulics, transmissions, and other machinery components. Hands-on experience with excavator operation, forklift maintenance, and other construction equipment. Strong knowledge of diesel mechanics, suspension systems, tire service, alignment procedures, shocks & struts replacement. Ability to perform vehicle maintenance tasks such as brake repair, HVAC servicing, power tool operation, and general equipment repair. Excellent mechanical knowledge combined with customer service skills; able to communicate clearly with team members and clients regarding repairs or maintenance needs. Pay:
From $25.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
