00 per hour depending on experience Job description: Student Transportation of America (STA), a leader in student transportation, is looking for an Experienced Automotive Technician with hands-on expertise maintaining and repairing Class-A vehicles. We are seeking a dependable, skilled automotive professional who can diagnose problems, perform quality repairs, and help keep our school bus fleet operating safely and efficiently. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced mechanic who takes pride in their work and wants to build a long-term career with a team-focused maintenance operation.
Location:
Amherst NH Responsibilities include: Performing preventative maintenance on school buses and Class-A vehicles Conducting thorough safety inspections Diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues and determining appropriate repairs Repairing a wide range of vehicle systems, including brakes, drivetrains, transmissions, and engines Responding to road calls and emergency maintenance situations Performing unscheduled repairs as needed Using your automotive knowledge and experience to keep vehicles safe, reliable, and road-ready Maintaining accurate and professional work practices while meeting STA safety standards
Requirements:
At least 3 years of professional mechanic/automotive technician experience (5 years or more preferred.) Strong hands-on experience diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicles Must have your own basic tools Valid driver's license Authorized to work in the U.S. Must pass a pre-employment drug screen Automotive experience with Class-A vans or other Class-A vehicles preferred Strong commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and reliability This job description outlines the general nature and responsibilities of the role.
