Duties Greet and answer phone calls with customers warmly, listen attentively to their questions and vehicle concerns, and actively document their needs. Schedule customers for appointments and maintain a productive work flow for the shop. Provide detailed explanations of recommended repairs and services using estimating software, ensuring transparency and trust. Provide quotes and recommendations for additional services such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake repairs, alignments, suspension work, and transmission diagnostics to maximize customer value. Coordinate with technicians to develop accurate repair estimates and prioritize service work efficiently. Communicate clearly with clients throughout the repair process, updating them on progress and explaining technical findings in understandable terms. Manage service writing tasks by preparing detailed work orders, processing invoices, and handling cash transactions professionally. Maintain thorough records with provided software, of all customer interactions, vehicle histories, and service recommendations for future reference. Ensure quality standards related to automotive repair procedures such as air brake systems, diesel engine repairs, shocks & struts, wheel alignments, and tire services. Experience Proven experience as an automotive service advisor or in a similar auto service management role within a dealership or independent shop. Background in automotive diagnostics, mechanical knowledge, and vehicle maintenance procedures. Familiarity with estimating software platforms used for auto estimating and damage assessments. Demonstrated ability to upsell services effectively while maintaining excellent customer relationships. Experience working with service technicians on complex repairs including transmissions, collision repairs, oil changes, brake repairs, suspension work, and diesel engine repairs. Excellent client communication skills with a focus on transparency, building trust, and respect for the customer. Previous experience handling cash transactions and managing service writing responsibilities confidently. Knowledge of automotive repair standards is highly desirable.
