Automotive Technician - Classic & Modern Vehicle Repair EQ Auto Performance & Restoration is a growing independent shop specializing in classic car restoration, performance upgrades, diagnostics, fabrication, and repair of modern domestic and import vehicles. We take pride in quality craftsmanship and are looking for a technician who shares that passion. Qualifications Experience working on both classic cars and modern vehicles Strong electrical diagnostic and troubleshooting skills Proficient with OEM and aftermarket scan tools Welding and fabrication experience Must provide your own professional mechanic's tools Valid driver's license New York State Inspection License is a major plus ASE certifications are a plus but not required We're seeking an experienced Automotive Technician who is comfortable working on both classic vehicles and newer cars and trucks. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated problem solver with strong diagnostic abilities and the skills to handle everything from routine repairs to custom projects. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on classic and late-model vehicles Perform drivability, engine, suspension, brake, steering, and drivetrain repairs Diagnose electrical faults using wiring diagrams, multimeters, and scan tools Perform routine maintenance and state inspections (if licensed) Install performance and aftermarket components Assist with fabrication and welding for custom and restoration projects Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment Work independently while communicating effectively with the team

$25.00 - $35.00 per hour
