SRP Contract Duties:

Performs diagnostics, repair, and maintenance of school buses, trucks, plows, other vehicles, and mechanical equipment for a suburban school district. May drive vehicles when required. Performs other duties as assigned by the Supervisor for Transportation. Must provide own tools.

Minimum Qualifications:

Graduation from a high school, trade school or college and two (2) years' experience in automotive repair work OR six (6) years' experience in automotive repair OR an equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the above. Possession of or ability to obtain a valid Class "A" or "B" NYS Commercial Driver's License with passenger school bus air brakes endorsement within 6 months Strong working knowledge of and ability to follow all applicable laws, rules, regulations, and reporting methods of the NYS Department of Transportation regarding school bus maintenance, inspection, and operation procedures.
