Job Description
About us Southern Finger Lakes Equipment, LLC is a Rental Equipment, Outdoor Power, and Compact Construction sales company in Watkins Glen, NY. We continue to grow and add equipment and services.
Responsibilities:
- Check rental equipment in, and assess for damages.
- Set up and assemble new mowers, zero turns, and chain saws
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on various pieces of equipment
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on various pieces of equipment and small engines
- Solder and weld components as needed
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer concerns and answering questions
- Keep accurate records of services performed and parts used
- Ability to perform delivery and pickup of equipment and mowers
Skills:
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to pass Stihl online training.
- Ability to diagnose issues with chainsaws, string trimmers, and lawn mowers in an timely matter
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Self Starter
- Dependable and Reliable
- Computer Skills are a plus
- Familiarity, and ability to operate construction equipment is a plus
Note:
Prior experience as a service technician or mechanic is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates the necessary skills and willingness to learn. Manufaturer training provided for the right candidate.Job Type:

$18.00- $24.
