As an Automotive Technician, you are responsible for accurately diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining customer vehicles while performing comprehensive digital inspections that help our customers make informed decisions about their vehicle's safety and reliability. We expect every technician to perform with integrity, efficiency, and attention to detail while contributing to a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement. Primary ResponsibilitiesDiagnose, Repair & Service Vehicles Perform accurate diagnostics using OEM service information and advanced diagnostic equipment. Complete maintenance, repairs, and major mechanical work according to manufacturer specifications and Bradley Tire & Auto Center quality standards. Verify all repairs through proper testing and quality control procedures before vehicle delivery. Maintain a high level of productivity without sacrificing workmanship or customer safety. Digital Vehicle Inspections Perform a thorough digital inspection on every vehicle. Document concerns with detailed notes, photos, and videos when appropriate. Identify safety concerns, maintenance needs, and future repair recommendations honestly and accurately. Provide complete documentation that allows Service Advisors to confidently educate customers. Professionalism & Communication Communicate effectively with Service Advisors, management, and fellow technicians. Assist with difficult diagnostics and collaborate with the team when needed. Maintain accurate repair documentation and technician notes. Represent Bradley Tire & Auto Center with professionalism both inside the shop and during customer interactions. Secondary ResponsibilitiesQuality & Accountability Perform quality control inspections on completed repairs. Take ownership of your work and promptly address any concerns. Participate in ongoing technical training and remain current on evolving vehicle technologies. Shop Standards Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work area. Properly care for shop equipment, specialty tools, and customer vehicles. Follow all safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment. Contribute to the overall efficiency and success of the shop. Additional duties may be assigned based on business needs. Qualifications Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Minimum of three years of professional automotive repair experience preferred. ASE Certifications are preferred and encouraged. Strong diagnostic abilities with gasoline, diesel, electrical, drivability, HVAC, steering, suspension, brake, and engine performance systems. Experience using OEM service information, scan tools, oscilloscopes, and modern diagnostic equipment. Ability to independently diagnose complex vehicle concerns. Strong understanding of manufacturer repair procedures and best practices. Comfortable using digital inspection software and shop management systems. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong work ethic with a commitment to integrity and continuous improvement. Ability to consistently produce quality work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and perform the physical requirements of automotive repair.
