Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a Mechanic/Fabricator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a one year of experience in operating equipment, performing routine inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment. This role involves working with various materials and tools to keep equipment in good operating condition and create high-quality components for our projects. Duties Perform design & layout of basic shop fabrication projects Able to use shop tools (welder, grinder, drill press, hand tools, etc). Basic understanding of safety rules and regulations and mechanic/fabrication shop processes. Develop a plan for repair of farm machinery and vehicles. Able to drive and operate equipment such as tractors, cars, trucks, forklifts, etc. Comply with company policies and government regulations. Document inventory, equipment, fuel consumption/inventory, parts, price, project cost as necessary. Work in a safe manner. Requirements One year of related experience and/or training Valid driver's license Dependable, organized, and detail oriented Proficient computer skills Problem solving ability Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks Ability to operate farm equipment, vehicles, forklifts, and other heavy machinery safely. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
