General Motors Automotive Service Technician

Job Description

Quigley Chevrolet - Bally, PA is looking for an experienced General Motors Passenger Vehicle/Light Duty Truck Technician to join our growing service team. If you're a skilled technician who takes pride in quality workmanship and customer satisfaction, we'd like to hear from you. Responsibilities
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on customer vehicles.
  • Diagnose vehicle concerns using GM diagnostic equipment.
  • Document diagnoses and repairs in accordance with GM guidelines.
  • Plan repair procedures using service manuals, technical information, and experience.
  • Test the functionality of vehicle systems and components.
  • Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, fluid checks, and tire rotations.
  • Repair and replace brake components, wheel bearings, sensors, and other vehicle parts.
  • Complete general mechanical repairs and preventive maintenance.
  • Pursue additional certifications and training as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Present a professional appearance and represent Quigley Chevrolet with pride. Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years of automotive technician experience.
  • GM dealership experience preferred.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance.
  • Ability to read and understand technical instructions and repair information.
  • Excellent communication and basic computer skills.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
  • Team-oriented with a commitment to treating every customer vehicle with care and respect.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies, service techniques, and procedures.
  • Maintain a neat, clean, and organized workstation.

  • Pennsylvania State Inspection License
  • Pennsylvania Emissions License
  • ASE Certification preferred Position Details
