The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering high-quality workmanship while supporting the organization's operational goals. Primary Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled inspections on fleet vehicles and heavy equipment. Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic system issues using diagnostic equipment and service manuals. Repair and replace engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, suspension, and other major components. Troubleshoot and repair diesel engines, heavy construction equipment, and commercial vehicles. Conduct safety inspections to ensure equipment complies with company and regulatory standards. Complete work orders accurately, documenting repairs, parts used, and labor hours. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Operate service trucks and mobile repair equipment as needed for field service calls. Respond to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime and support operational needs. Inspect equipment before and after repairs to verify proper operation. Order or recommend replacement parts and maintain appropriate inventory levels. Utilize computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to track maintenance activities. Follow all OSHA, DOT, and company safety policies and procedures. Communicate effectively with supervisors, operators, and other technicians regarding equipment status and repair recommendations. Assist with training and mentoring junior technicians when needed. Desired Qualifications Experience maintaining and repairing diesel-powered fleet vehicles and heavy equipment. Strong knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems. Ability to read wiring diagrams, hydraulic schematics, and technical manuals. Experience using diagnostic software and electronic troubleshooting tools. Valid driver's license (CDL A preferred) and the ability to obtain a valid driver's medical examination certificate. Ability work in varying weather conditions. Welding and fabrication experience is preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Valid PA State Inspection License. Additional Details
