Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated Entry Level Automotive Mechanic to join our team. This position offers an opportunity for individuals interested in developing their skills in automotive mechanic repairs. The ideal candidate will have a passion for automotive work, a good work ethic, and a desire to grow within the industry. Prior experience and mechanical knowledge are a plus but not required; training will be provided to the right candidate. This role involves hands-on work with various hand and power tools replacing parts and fixing vehicles, ensuring customer satisfaction and safety. Responsibilities Inspect cars, trucks, and light-duty vehicles to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues. Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid checks. Repair or replace worn or damaged parts including brakes, belts, hoses, spark plugs, batteries, and filters. Diagnose engine problems using computerized diagnostic equipment. Perform brake system repairs (pads, rotors, calipers, lines, ABS systems). Conduct electrical system troubleshooting and repairs (starters, alternators, wiring, sensors). Service heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. Perform wheel alignments and suspension adjustments. Conduct state safety inspections (if certified). Test drive vehicles to verify repair effectiveness. Communicate repair needs and cost estimates to service advisors. Keep work area clean and organized. Use hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment safely and properly. Qualifications Prior dealership or automotive repair experience is preferred but not required; a strong desire to learn is essential. Basic mechanical knowledge of automotive systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and electrical components. Familiarity with automotive schematics and diagnostic procedures is a plus. Experience working with hand tools, power tools, and automotive repair equipment. Ability to read technical manuals and follow detailed instructions accurately.
