A lube technician specializing in greasing equipment maintains machinery reliability by applying specific greases to moving parts. Core duties include identifying lubrication points, operating manual or pneumatic grease guns, monitoring equipment for wear, replacing filters, and maintaining detailed maintenance logs. Your responsibilities will be to locate grease fittings on chassis, bearings, universal joints, and pivot points to apply the correct type and amount of grease. Inspect machinery for leaks, damaged hoses, or worn components during the greasing process. Will be responsible for maintaining lubration of equipment, ensure the compatibility of different greases, and keep the lube shop or work area clean. Log all maintenance performed, track lubricant lubricant inventory, and report defective parts to lead mechanics or supervisors.
