Join Our Growing Team at J Bar - Vehicle Preventive Maintenance (PM) Technician!!!! J Bar is rapidly expanding, and we're hiring a Vehicle Preventive Maintenance (PM) Technician to help maintain our fleet. This hands-on role involves performing scheduled preventive maintenance and minor repairs on vehicles and equipment to help keep our fleet operating safely and efficiently. The position is physically active and routinely requires moderate to extreme physical exertion, including prolonged standing, bending, kneeling, squatting, and working in awkward positions. Duties/Responsibilities:
Perform preventive maintenance of fleet vehicles in a safe manner in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and company policies. Perform service runs to repair trucks/units off siteasrequired. Inspect, lubricate, and service fleet vehiclesduring preventive maintenance service-Check, fill, and/or changeappropriate fluidsfor all vehicle parts and check/change filters. Ensurepercompany maintenance schedulesare followed. Inspect vehicle support systems, such as electrical, air, and brake systems. Perform minor repairs and adjustments to various operating systems onthe vehicles, equipment, or related components. PerformPMI'son tractors,trailersand other powered equipment/vehicles. Perform tire and brake maintenance. Identifyand repair or report worn or failed components, leaks, etc. Perform routine housekeeping dutiesrelatedtools, materials,shop, and work areas. Ensure all safety devices on vehicles are in good working order. Maintainaccuraterecords (time, repairordersand parts usage) oncomputer,smartphone, and tablet technology. Reviewelectronic pre-inspection checklistand address issues daily. Consult with immediate supervisor when a repair is outside of skill set todetermineapproach toensure proper andsafelyin-house repairs and/or if outside vendor assistance isrequired. Road-test/ Test drive vehicles under 26,000GVW Fillin onportable unit routes, as needed. Performs other related duties asrequired.
