Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Regional Heavy Truck & Crane Mechanic to join our team. This position is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy-duty trucks, cranes, and rigging equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation. The ideal candidate is mechanically skilled, safety-conscious, and willing to travel throughout the region to perform maintenance and repairs as needed . Responsibilities Inspect, diagnose, and repair heavy-duty trucks, cranes, and related equipment. Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled service. Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems. Conduct inspections to ensure equipment meets all safety and regulatory standards. Operate heavy-duty trucks to transport equipment to and from job sites when necessary. Maintain accurate service and maintenance records. Respond to equipment breakdowns and emergency service calls. Follow all company safety policies and industry regulations. Qualifications Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the appropriate endorsements to operate heavy-duty trucks. Experience repairing and maintaining heavy-duty trucks, cranes, and rigging equipment. Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and heavy equipment diagnostics. Required certifications or manufacturer certifications related to heavy truck and crane maintenance preferred. Ability to read and interpret service manuals and technical diagrams. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in various weather conditions. Willingness to travel regionally as needed. Preferred Qualifications Crane inspection and repair certifications. ASE Medium/Heavy Truck Certification or equivalent. Experience working with DOT regulations and commercial fleet maintenance. Welding or fabrication experience is a plus.
