Job Summary Title:

Thoroughly inspect, service and repair company owned trailers.

Qualifications:

Education:

High School Diploma or GED required; graduation from a trade/technical school preferred.

Licenses/Certifications:

Valid Driver's License required; CDL preferred

Experience:

Requires basic knowledge of vehicle systems and maintenance.

Essential Functions:

A:

Job Specific Assist with preventative maintenance inspections on trailer equipment with specified safety procedures and DOT regulations Must demonstrate skills in trailer maintenance and repair on the following systems with minimal supervision: Brakes Seals Repairing trailer floors and walls Minor welding Minor electrical repairs for trailer lighting Tire patching/repair Complete work orders in a timely manner Perform proper safety procedures including use of protective equipment, maintaining a safe work area in accordance with Codysur Safety Policies. Recognize and report repair or maintenance items of concern for trailers and tires Utilize various company software to maintain job and equipment tracking Provide superior customer service to company drivers Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner which facilitates the success of the business operations in order to meet company demands and expectations. Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Good oral and written communication and interpersonal skills Basic computer skills with working knowledge of shop systems Skilled in performing work requiring attention to detail.
