In this energetic role, you'll diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of bicycle systems, ensuring every customer leaves with a safe, reliable ride. Your hands-on skills will keep bikes in peak condition, from routine maintenance to complex mechanical repairs. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to combine technical mastery with outstanding customer service in a fast-paced retail environment. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive bicycle repairs including brake adjustments, gear tuning, suspension servicing, and wheel truing to ensure optimal performance. Conduct symptom-based mechanical diagnosis to identify issues quickly and accurately. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized mechanical systems to disassemble, repair, and reassemble bicycles efficiently. Assist customers with bike assembly, fitting, and maintenance advice to enhance their cycling experience. Manage retail sales transactions using POS (Point of Sale) systems while providing excellent customer service. Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and parts are properly stored and inventory is tracked accurately. Support maintenance work on shop equipment and assist with heavy lifting tasks as needed to uphold safety standards. Requirements Proven experience as a service technician or mechanic with a focus on bicycle repair or similar mechanical systems. Strong mechanical knowledge including suspension systems, brake repair, and mechanical assembly. Familiarity with symptom-based diagnosis techniques for identifying mechanical issues efficiently. Experience working with hand tools, power tools, and maintenance work in a retail or workshop setting. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle physical demands of the role regularly. Knowledge of POS systems for sales transactions and inventory management is preferred. Prior experience with maintenance, repair and operations (MRO), vehicle maintenance or cycling is advantageous. Pay:
