Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Bicycle and Electric Bicycle Mechanic/Technician and become a vital part of delivering exceptional cycling experiences! In this energetic role, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of bicycles, electric bicycles and electric scooters. Your experience and expertise will ensure that every bike and scooter leaves our shop in top condition, ready to hit the road or trail. Duties Perform comprehensive bicycle, e-bike, and e-scooter repairs, including brake adjustments, wheel truing, and drivetrain maintenance. Conduct symptom-based mechanical diagnosis to identify issues quickly and accurately. Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized mechanical equipment to assemble, repair, and maintain bicycles. Assist customers with retail sales by explaining repair options, recommending products, and supporting bicycle assembly needs. Manage maintenance work orders efficiently using POS (Point of Sale) systems and maintain detailed service records. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair procedures, offering cycling advice, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Qualifications Proven experience as a bicycle service technician or mechanic with a strong mechanical background. Knowledge of brake repair, both cable and hydraulic, and mechanical systems repair is essential. Knowledge of derailleur adjustments and repairs. Familiarity with symptom-based diagnosis and troubleshooting mechanical issues on bicycles. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and perform maintenance work safely and effectively. Experience with retail sales processes including POS systems and retail math. Physical ability to lift heavy bikes or parts regularly during maintenance tasks. Strong customer service skills with a proactive attitude toward assisting customers and supporting team goals.
