Job Description
Service Technician / Assistant Installer — Growth Track to Lead Installer Job Description As a Service Technician/Assistant Installer at Automatic Gate Installations (AGI), you'll work both sides of the business — troubleshooting automatic gate and access control systems on service calls, and assisting on installations. This role is built for someone who wants to grow: as you develop your skills, there's a clear path to training into a Lead Installer role, taking on greater ownership of the installation side of our business. We're looking for someone with excellent customer communication and strong organizational skills for documentation and vehicle upkeep.
Diagnose and troubleshoot various automatic gate systems, identifying and resolving technical issues promptly.

Communicate clearly with the team if new parts or anything else is needed to complete a project. Work alongside our installation team, ensuring compliance with safety standards and company protocols.
Client Interaction:
Interact with clients in a respectful and customer-centric manner, providing clear explanations of service procedures and addressing any concerns.
Documentation:
Document all service and installation activities, including detailed notes and photographs, to maintain accurate records for internal and client purposes.
Safety Compliance:
Enforce and adhere to safety protocols and regulations during installations, service calls, and maintenance procedures.
Continuous Learning:
Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices — both to enhance your own skills and to build toward a leadership role on the installation side.
Shop/Truck Organization:
Maintain and organize tools, equipment, and inventory within vehicles to ensure efficiency and readiness for on-site jobs. Uphold company standards for vehicle care, including regular maintenance, cleanliness, and stocked inventory. Assist in shop organization and upkeep.
