ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Evolve1Talent is recruiting exclusively for a well-established and growing San Diego-area company in the aerospace and defense communications space. This is a direct-hire opportunity with real potential for upward mobility as the company continues to expand. This is a hands-on bench role — not a production position. You will work across a wide mix of antenna-related projects including prototyping, tuning, troubleshooting, and performance optimization, collaborating closely with RF engineers, mechanical, and production teams in a fast-paced lab environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Build, tune, and troubleshoot antenna prototypes including milling and 3D printing
• Perform RF measurements using VNAs, spectrum analyzers, and RF lab equipment
• Optimize antenna performance including gain, beamwidth, bandwidth, return loss, VSWR, and polarization
• Read and interpret 2D/3D antenna plots, gain plots, and efficiency plots
• Support active GPS antennas, amplifiers, front-end tuning, and power testing
• Integrate RF systems into complex platforms with SWaP-C considerations
• Collaborate with RF engineers on antenna design refinement and troubleshooting

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 7 to 10 years of hands-on RF circuit and antenna design, testing, and troubleshooting
• Strong VNA skills including component tuning, antenna tuning, return loss, and phase measurements
• Strong antenna performance knowledge including polarization, phasing, and gain/efficiency interpretation
• Hands-on experience with antenna types including collinear, dipoles, folded dipoles, sector antennas, combiners, and arrays
• Array-related experience required
• Hands-on prototyping experience including milling and 3D printing
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
• Ability to obtain a U.

S. security clearance if required

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Defense or aerospace industry background
• Chamber or RF power testing experience
• Simulation knowledge including CST, HFSS, or similar tools
• MIMO, beamforming, radome design, or RF PCB layout knowledge
• Associates or bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline (extensive experience considered in lieu)

COMPENSATION AND DETAILS

• Salary:

  90,000
• 110,000 plus annual bonus

  Poway, CA — 100% onsite, flexible start/end time
