Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated, full-time Hotel Grounds Maintenance Technician to oversee the exterior upkeep of our property. In this role, you will focus entirely on the visual appeal, cleanliness, and safety of our outdoor spaces. Your work ensures that the hotel makes an exceptional first impression on arriving guests and provides a pristine environment for outdoor relaxation.

$18.00 per hour
Schedule:
Includes weekends and early morning shifts and holidays.
Core Responsibilities Pool & Spa Upkeep:
Perform daily skimming, chemical testing, vacuuming, and safety checks for the hotel pool and spa to ensure complete compliance with local health department regulations.
Curb Appeal & Landscaping:
Maintain all outdoor greenery to premium hospitality standards, including mowing lawns, trimming hedges, weeding flower beds, and pruning trees.
Property Cleanliness:
Perform daily walkthroughs of the exterior to empty trash receptacles, sweep walkways, and clear debris from the parking lot, entryways, and courtyards.
Seasonal Operations:
Manage seasonal transitions by planting seasonal greenery and handling prompt snow and ice removal from guest paths, driveways, and parking lots.
Exterior Inspections:
Monitor and repair outdoor assets, including parking lot lighting, perimeter fencing, directional signage, and irrigation/sprinkler systems.
Guest Safety:
Ensure all outdoor pathways, steps, and ramps are free of trip hazards, standing water, or debris.
Interior Maintenance:
Work with interior buildings team when necessary. Required Skills & Qualifications Experience in professional landscaping, groundskeeping, or commercial property upkeep a plus. Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry preferred. Familiarity with commercial landscaping tools and power equipment (e.g., walk-behind mowers, leaf blowers, weed eaters, snow blowers, and tractors) a plus. Basic knowledge of commercial irrigation systems and outdoor lighting. Professional, polite demeanor when interacting with guests on the property. Physical stamina to lift up to 50 lbs, walk or stand for extended periods, and work outdoors in all weather conditions (heat, rain, snow).
Pay:
$18.00 per hour Expected hours: 32.0 - 40.0 per week
