Job Description

We are looking for more than someone who simply wants to show up, sand floors, and go home. We want someone who is ambitious, hardworking, dependable, and interested in building a career with a growing company. What We're Looking For Hardwood floor sanding experience is required. You should be comfortable working with professional hardwood flooring equipment and understand the sanding and refinishing process. Additional experience is a big plus, including: Hardwood floor installation Staining and finishing Water-based finishes Stairs and railings Repairs and board replacement Engineered hardwood Trim and carpentry General construction/remodeling Water-damage restoration or mitigation You do not need to know everything . We would rather hire someone with a strong flooring foundation, a good attitude, and a desire to learn than someone who thinks they already know it all. Plenty of Room to Grow This is an important part of the position. We are a growing company with multiple service divisions , including hardwood flooring, restoration/water mitigation, and specialized laser cleaning/restoration. For the right person, there is significant opportunity to advance beyond being a floor sander. As you demonstrate your skills, reliability, and leadership, there may be opportunities to grow into positions such as Lead Flooring Technician, Crew Leader, Project Supervisor, or other management responsibilities. We are also willing to train the right person in additional areas of our business. The more you are willing to learn and the more responsibility you can handle, the more opportunity there is to grow with us. The Person We're Looking For We want someone who: Has professional hardwood floor sanding experience Takes pride in quality workmanship Is hardworking and dependable Shows up on time and ready to work Pays attention to details Takes care of tools, equipment, customers' homes, and jobsites Can work independently and as part of a crew Is willing to listen and learn Wants to improve their skills Is comfortable taking on more responsibility over time Has a positive, problem-solving attitude Wants to advance rather than stay in the same position forever A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are strongly preferred.
