• Immediate opening for Hotel Maintenance worker for mornings 6:30am - 4:30pm (previous experience is required). One should be trained to Installs, maintains, and repairs HVAC and machinery, equipment, physical structures, Dry wall, pipe, and electrical systems in hotel and restaurant by performing the following duties.
Maintenance Technician Duties and Responsibilities:
Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests. Understand and operate advanced electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, and boiler systems. Maintains a Preventative Maintenance Program within the rooms to ensure they are being kept up to standards on a quarterly basis and the proper documentation is being recorded. Responsible for careful and efficient use of supplies issued for performance of cleaning and maintenance duties. Respond to maintenance requests received from Front Desk or Housekeeping within 15 minutes (occupied rooms). Pool chemical testing must be completed a minimum of twice a day (or according to company or jurisdictional standards). Emergency lighting is to be checked a minimum of once a week (or according to company or brand standards). In-room smoke detectors are to be checked monthly (or according to company or brand standards). Maintain storerooms in a clean, neat, and organized state. Ability to interpret readings from meters & gauges and other measuring units. Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments. Ability to maintain confidentiality of hotel guests and pertinent hotel information. Ability to ensure security of guest room access and hotel property. Preform maintenance activities in the guest room like plunging toilets, unclogging drains, repairing all types of hardware, electrical equipment including lamps, air conditioners / HVAC and AC ducts. Perform maintenance activities in hotel public areas like plunging toilets, unclogging drains, repairing all types of hardware, plumbing and electrical equipment and cosmetic items. Program TV's and perform general housekeeping and engineering-related inventory duties. To clean, lubricate, protect, and otherwise maintain all tools and equipment in the hotel. To operate as an independent mechanic by analyzing problems, identifying courses of action, and implementing solutions with available resources and to a high degree of quality. To be available for any emergencies and act in an engineering capacity to protect guests and associates, and preserve the building and its systems during the emergency. Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed. Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets. Maintains the hotel facility and related equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
Education:
High School Diploma/GED Certifications is a plus.
Experience:
Minimum 1 to 2 years experience in a similar role.
