Overview Join our team as a Dock and Lift Installer/Laborer. This position involves installing, maintaining, and repairing docks, lifts, and related equipment. You'll work hands-on with heavy machinery, and rigging. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy working around the water on a boat, this opportunity is perfect for you! Duties Install, assemble, and repair docks, lifts, and associated maritime infrastructure. Occasionally operate heavy equipment to move materials and equipment Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on dock and lift systems Assist with boat handling activities, including guiding the barge operator. Communicate effectively with team members Towing equipment with a pickup truck or other vehicles. Experience Prior experience in port operations or water transportation industry preferred Knowledge of rigging techniques, mechanical systems, and heavy equipment operation preferred Strong communication skills for effective teamwork within crews and operations staff Ability to handle manual labor tasks involving lifting, carrying heavy materials, and manual handling techniques is required Technical proficiency in operating watercraft handling equipment such as cranes or forklifts is advantageous but not required. You will receive consistent 30 hour weeks when weather allows. Our hours can range drastically and you must be able to work extra hours, or work a little less hours then 40. Typically during busy season (about 2 months in spring and 2 months in fall) you can see consistent over 40 hour work weeks. During peak summer season you will typically perform general tasks around the marina. We typically end operations November 15th. If you are willing to learn how to operate the barge then there is definitely room for growth with plenty of pay raises to come. All new employees receive 56 hours of paid time off.
