Industrial Maintenance Technician

Job Description

Are you the type of Maintenance Technician who thrives at figuring out why equipment isn't working and getting it back up and running ? Pet-Ag, Inc. , an innovative pioneer in the pet product industry, is hiring an Industrial Maintenance Technician to join the team in Hampshire, IL. As an Industrial Maintenance Technician , you'll be an essential part of keeping our food manufacturing and packaging operation running safely, efficiently, and reliably! You'll work hands-on with a wide range of equipment and systems, troubleshooting everything from mechanical and electrical issues to pneumatics, hydraulics, and basic automation.
Position Responsibilities:
Keep equipment running : Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on food processing, blending, conveying, and packaging equipment Solve challenging problems : Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, including motors, pumps, conveyors, and fillers Work with electrical & controls systems: Diagnose issues involving AC/DC motors, VFDs, sensors, safety circuits, and basic PLC-controlled equipment Help improve the operation: Assist with equipment installations, line modifications, and utility systems such as electrical, compressed air, gas, and vacuum Prioritize safety and reliability: Help ensure equipment operates safely while minimizing downtime and supporting consistent production
Position Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade training preferred 1+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment (food or CPG preferred) Experience working with PLC-controlled equipment, VFDs, sensors, and industrial automation systems Working knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, sanitation standards, and food safety practices Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with production, quality, and engineering teams

Compensation:
The pay range for this role considers a wide range of factors including but not limited to: skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, geographical location, and other organizational needs. The estimated pay range for this role is $21.85/hr. Min to $32.78/hr. Max per year. Additionally, you will be eligible to participate in a bonus program associated with this specific role.
