Overview:
Our client is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support the safe, reliable operation of a high-volume food manufacturing facility. This role will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing production equipment and facility systems, performing preventive maintenance, and supporting equipment installations and improvements. The ideal candidate has strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills, hands-on experience with PLC-based systems, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
Job Duties:
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and PLC-based production equipment.

Perform preventive maintenance, equipment rebuilds and overhauls, installations, and fabrication projects to improve equipment reliability and minimize downtime.

Identify equipment failures and work closely with Production to safely restore machinery to efficient operating condition.

Support the setup, operation, maintenance, and modification of industrial production equipment.

Safely operate a variety of maintenance tools and equipment, including forklifts, scissor lifts, drills, saws, power tools, and other shop equipment.

Document completed work, equipment issues, repairs, and preventive maintenance activities within the Maintenance Management System/CMMS.Follow all applicable safety, GMP, quality, and regulatory requirements while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Coordinate with internal teams and onsite contractors to complete maintenance activities while minimizing disruption to production.

Respond to equipment issues and prioritize maintenance activities based on operational needs and equipment reliability.
Qualifications:
High school diploma with 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience in instrumentation, measurement and control systems, electronics, mechanical systems, electrical machinery, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a diploma.

Hands-on experience across at least three of the following areas: refrigeration, plumbing, electrical, mechanical systems, or food manufacturing process controls.

Strong understanding of industrial equipment setup, operation, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.

Ability to troubleshoot complex equipment issues and make sound decisions in a fast-paced production environment.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple maintenance activities and respond to changing production needs.

Comfortable working in a physically active industrial environment, including standing, lifting, climbing, and operating equipment.
