Industrial Maintenance Technician

Job Description

Target Metal Blanking is a leading supplier in the automotive industry, specializing in high-volume metal blanking operations. We are committed to delivering quality products through innovation, teamwork, and a strong focus on safety. We are currently seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our dedicated maintenance team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our production equipment, supporting continuous improvement, and contributing to a safe and productive work environment. Responsibilities Troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment, including blanking presses, automation lines, and auxiliary systems to minimize downtime. Program, maintain, and troubleshoot PLCs (primarily Allen-Bradley and Siemens) to ensure smooth operation of automated systems. Diagnose and repair variable frequency drives (VFDs), servo drives, and motor control systems. Perform scheduled preventive and predictive maintenance using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS). Collaborate with production and management teams to support equipment upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to facilitate repairs and maintenance. Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance activities, and parts usage. Follow all safety protocols and company policies to ensure a safe working environment. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Minimum 3 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably automotive. Hands-on experience with PLC systems (Allen-Bradley, Siemens) and drive technologies (VFDs, servos, etc.). Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and equipment schematics. Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team. Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or off-shifts as needed.
Preferred:
Experience with metal stamping or blanking operations.
