Job Description

Ready to steward a site that supports clean energy? Imagine arriving in Bridgman, MI just before sunrise. The forecast calls for snow, so you team up with the Facilities Supervisor and clear paths to keep people safe. By afternoon, you're repairing a section of drywall and repainting a corridor. Tomorrow, you'll tune a mower and prune trees before planting seasonal color. If that variety excites you, you could be our next Site Facilities Caretaker. Your mission At WECTEC Staffing Services (part of Westinghouse Electric Company LLC), you'll protect the usability and appearance of our property—inside and out—so teams can focus on delivering clean energy solutions. How you'll contribute Maintain grounds: cut lawns using hand, power, or riding equipment; edge and trim around walks, beds, and walls; plant and nurture grass, flowers, shrubs, and trees; prune for healthy growth.
Keep the site safe:
remove snow and ice from roads, walkways, and steps; rake leaves; sweep and collect litter.
Care for tools:
perform minor repairs and preventative maintenance on groundskeeping equipment.
Support buildings:
handle minor maintenance, plumbing, and painting—such as small framing/drywall tasks and fixing toilets and urinals.
Enable moves:
relocate office furniture and supplies to support changing needs. Other duties may be assigned; this overview is not all-encompassing. What it takes High School Diploma or educational equivalent; 18+ years of age. Valid Driver's License required; CDL desired but not required. Experience in maintenance, snow plowing, and lawn care is preferred. Work outdoors in all weather; able to work day or night shifts during winter months. Local candidates only (commutable to our client's Bridgman, MI site). Physical capability to frequently walk, stand, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; communicate clearly; handle and reach with hands/arms; lift or move up to 75 lbs; maintain close, peripheral, and depth vision. Be able to pass criminal background, drug/alcohol screen (including medical and recreational marijuana and CBD oil), and employment testing. Compensation, benefits, and growth Estimated base pay: $18/hour to $19/hour, based on experience, qualifications, and skills.
