Job Description

One City. One Workforce. One Purpose. The city is looking for a Part Time Facilities Specialist to work weekends If you enjoy working outdoors, taking pride in well-maintained parks and facilities, and aren't afraid to get your hands dirty, the City is looking for you! This position performs a wide range of landscape maintenance tasks, completing custodial duties, and removing trash and debris to ensure a welcoming environment. This role also involves operating various hand and power tools commonly used in parks and landscape upkeep, as well as interacting with citizens and providing quality customer service. Additionally, the technician assists with preparing grounds for special events, supports cleanup efforts following natural disasters, and helps other departments as needed to ensure seamless operations across the City. Perform general maintenance by picking up trash, cleaning bathrooms and shelters, removing trash cans, watering, and fertilizing. Provide customer service to the public by working with citizens to meet their needs. Assist with special projects by setting up for events, and assisting with natural disaster clean up. Required Qualifications Ability to read and understand written instructions, to understand simple processes and the routine operation of machines. No experience is required. Class C Driver's License. Ability to work before, during, and after emergencies and/or natural disasters. Basic computer literacy as necessitated for timekeeping, performance documentation and online training.

Driving and criminal history checks required for the selected candidate. Selected candidate will also be required to complete a post-offer drug screen, driving and background check
Physical Demands :
Exerting 20-50 lbs. occasionally, 10-25 lbs. frequently, or up to 10 lbs. constantly.
Working Conditions :
This position generally works outdoors .
