Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our 1st shift maintenance team. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and maintaining tube extrusion equipment and supporting systems to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable production. The ideal candidate will have strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills and thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The hourly rate is 38.00Essential Responsibilities Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Maintain tube extrusion lines, winding equipment, motors, gearboxes, conveyors, pumps, and auxiliary equipment. Diagnose electrical issues involving PLC-controlled equipment, VFDs, sensors, relays, contactors, and motor controls. Perform preventive and predictive maintenance according to established schedules. Install, modify, and improve manufacturing equipment as needed. Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings. Complete maintenance work orders and document repairs accurately. Work with production personnel to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability. Follow all company safety policies and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Technical degree or certification in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, Electrical Technology, or a related field preferred. Two or more years of industrial electro-mechanical maintenance experience preferred. Experience in plastics, extrusion, or manufacturing is a plus. Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems up to 480V.
Working knowledge of:
PLC troubleshooting Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) Pneumatic and hydraulic systems Motors, bearings, gearboxes, and conveyors Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings. Strong troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Preferred Skills Experience with tube or plastic extrusion equipment. Welding and fabrication experience. Experience using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). Physical Requirements Lift up to 50 pounds. Stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb throughout the shift Work safely in a manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, noise, and moving machinery. Safely operate hand and power tools.
