Property Rental Unit Maintenance Technician

Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Property Rental Unit Maintenance Technician to ensure the optimal condition and safety of rental properties. This role involves performing routine and preventive maintenance tasks to uphold high standards of property quality, comfort, and safety for tenants. The technician will be responsible for addressing various repair needs and maintaining the overall integrity of rental units, contributing to a positive living environment for residents. Duties Conduct plumbing repairs and maintenance to ensure proper water flow, drainage, and fixture functionality. Perform HVAC system inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs to maintain optimal heating, ventilation, and air conditioning performance. Carry out carpentry tasks including repairs to doors, windows, cabinetry, and other wooden fixtures within rental units. Maintain building interiors by repairing walls, ceilings, flooring, and other structural elements as needed. Execute painting projects for interior spaces to refresh and improve the aesthetic appeal of rental units. Respond promptly to maintenance requests from tenants or property management. Perform routine inspections to identify potential issues before they escalate into major repairs. Ensure all work complies with safety standards and building codes. Keep detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs performed. Experience Proven experience in property maintenance or a similar role within residential or commercial settings. Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, HVAC equipment, carpentry techniques, interior building maintenance, and painting. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve a variety of repair issues efficiently. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Good communication skills for coordinating with tenants and property management teams. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively. Relevant certifications or technical training in plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, or related fields are preferred but not mandatory.
Pay:
$22.00 - $25.00 per hour
