Leaf Forge is a cutting-edge tobacco processing facility based in Pryor, Oklahoma. Job Summary The Maintenance Technician I has a very versatile skillset that requires the ability to cover multiple responsibilities. This position will work around and on rotating equipment and facilities with high pressure to perform routine maintenance. This is an entry-level position which will receive additional on the job training. This position requires significant attention to detail, accuracy in results, follow-through, and timely documentation. Principal Duties and Responsibilities Maintain and repair multiple production machines. Routinely clean and wash equipment. Troubleshoot issues with production equipment. Change small valves and threaded piping. Maintain plants and facility locations/roads. Maintain backhoes and trailers as needed. Maintain and clean crew tools. Do all required computer work and reports. Work safely and productively. Flexibility to work overtime as required with short notice.
Skills and Experience Required:
Minimum of 1-year hands-on experience in mechanical operations of manufacturing equipment. Goal driven/forward thinking. Ability to learn and retain task knowledge. A steady work history and strong work ethic.
Preferred:
Heavy equipment experience a plus. Competency with Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
Physical Requirements:
Walking, climbing, stooping, reaching, lifting up to 50 pounds. Work Environment Work is performed in a tobacco primary manufacturing facility. Exposure to high temperatures, loud noises and industrial equipment. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required. Benefits Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance. Life and AD&D Insurance.
