Graphic Designer & Vinyl Sign Specialist Join our team to bridge the gap between creative digital design and physical sign fabrication! We are seeking a versatile Graphic Designer & Vinyl Sign Specialist who is equally comfortable creating stunning layouts in Flexi Sign and/or Adobe Creative Suite as they are operating a vinyl cutter, large format printer, laminator, and other sign making equipment and executing clean physical installations. This hybrid role is perfect for a creative problem-solver who enjoys seeing their digital artwork transform into high-impact, real-world signage.

Location :
On-site / Sign Production Studio Key Responsibilities Digital Graphic Design (45%) Design custom visual concepts , logos, layouts, and print-ready vector files for various client signage needs. Interpret design specifications or rough client sketches to build polished page mock-ups and proofs. Manage prepress production , ensuring correct file sizing, color profiles, Bleeds, and resolutions before sending to print. Vinyl Production & Fabrication (45%) Operate wide-format digital printers , plotters, and vinyl cutting machinery. Perform vinyl weeding , masking, taping, and applying graphics onto diverse substrates such as foam core, PVC, metal, and acrylic. Maintain production equipment and monitor vinyl material inventory levels. Installation & Quality Control (10%) Install vinyl graphics , window lettering, wall murals, and banners seamlessly. Prepare installation surfaces accurately by cleaning, measuring, and positioning graphics with precision. Inspect finished products carefully to guarantee zero defects, bubbles, or alignment errors.
Qualifications & Skills Experience :
Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a commercial sign shop, wide-format print environment, or graphic design role.
Software Mastery :
Expert proficiency in Flex Suite , Adobe Illustrator (vector production) and Adobe Photoshop . Experience with sign-cutting software (like Onyx, VersaWorks, or Flexi) is highly preferred.
Technical Knowledge :
Strong understanding of wide-format printer mechanics, vinyl types (cast, calendered, reflective), and substrate behaviors.
Physical Dexterity :
Ability to stand for long periods, lean over waist-high production tables, lift up to 50 lbs, and climb ladders for installations.
Detail-Oriented :
Keen eye for visual hierarchy, precise spacing, typography, and color matching.
